Ok, I don't know anything about photography, so my comment is going to be... simple.
I like it, because it makes me feel warm and it makes me remember those really cold days, but the sun is shining. And I think this photo is great, because it wasn't... made: you just took it. I think. ^^ -- What would I be without my friends? Hmm... probably normal.
Gut bist du ja Hi there,

while I do like the lighting. and that hue of the sunlight does create a very nostalgic vibe--this photo---has me tilting my head like a dog confused.
while u mention this as being of the 'summer ' series...it feels more like a pre-winter shot.
While the composition is right on--the elbow in the foreground---just knocks the composition off. Its intrusive and does nothing for the film like quality that this moment presents.
The tones of the subject---come off too red for me...that is totally my own thoughts.
what would i do to change this?
I would opt to crop this from the left side of the mans zipper--yup--halving him---so that the one eye on ya...or towards the viewer---adds some mystery--while i know it will seem odd in diameter then--as the square format works good for this...
I wouldn't be happy with this--for myself...as is.
