I love the affect of warm morning light and the colors it casts on earth-tone objects. I equally enjoy the light cascading through the trees as well as the reflective hues on the chopped wood. Those two items could be separate photos of themselves, but you've chosen to link them with a tree's shadow spanning the highway. Not sure if this is coincidence or weather pattern, but the trees appear to be bent along with the curve of the highway.

The one thing I would recommend is taking a step forward to shoot this photo, maybe even tilting your camera so you're not shooting straight into the road...but keeping it a leading line. It's dawn, there is such brilliant light, yet half of the photo is cast in a dull shadow. Not to downgrade the importance of shadow in a photo like this, slivers of shadow slicing through the warm tones would arguably have more impact.

I have always associated early dawn with perfect peace and tranquility...and this conveys those ideas so very well. I love how the golden sunlight leaks into the photo, through the tall trees and into view- not a harsh, glaring sun, but a wonderfully soft one. Also, I am loving how the light affects the pile of logs, turning them a bronzy colour, warm and rusted in hue.

Not only is the light beautiful, but the places without it, the way the path is mostly in shadow, the quiet blue of the sky...they all give this a sense of calm, cool morning, before the world has really woken up, and it's just you and your camera and the gorgeous morning...
