"Ognuno sta solo sul cuor della terra
trafitto da un raggio di sole:
ed è subito sera."
(Salvatore Quasimodo, "Ed è subito sera")

I really love this scene: it suggests me a lot of sceneries.
It talks to me about the US: those US that we learnt to know through the movies, made of streets without a name...although here there is an "Eddy" <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>

It talks also about the loneliness of the individual, strongly accented by the anonymity typical of the big cities life. An individual that is put under a "spotlight" by a sun ray, star for a minute (or less, just in time to be catched by the photographer).
This lonely man crossing the road becomes "Eddy": from anonymity to the fame shared on a social network (or whatever kind of "web something" DA is).
BTW, the fading lighting reminded me immediately the poetry "Ed è subito sera" by Salvatore Quasimodo. Did you ever heard it before, maybe translated in german?

I'm not strong about technic in photography: I have just a weak idea of the best way to control the depth of field, exposure and so on, but I have a deep background of knowledge of visual art, i.e. composition and the meaning of an image, and I can say that this picture definitely has something to say about construction of a concept, carried out by a conscious utilization of the means available to a photographer that is not only an impartial reporter, but especially a story teller.
