I really, really love this shot. I initially thought it was taken somewhere in Ireland, but I had to click the deviation itself to find that it was taken in France. It conveys to me a sense of isolation...or possibly a feeling that the owner is simply seeking his or her own peace within the world that would not be found otherwise in a city. (Had I the resources I would have loved to live in a place like this a few years ago.)
The overcast fog is great; sunlight would have lessened the impact and mystery, and yet the tide being out makes it look more inviting. If it was a medieval castle, it would have looked cliche', but this is well executed.
